Sites Covered:

• Cape Town  • Hermanus  • Porterville  • Wilderness

Tour Information:

Cape Town Area:

Our aim: To have the best possible flying and as much fun as possible. Flying in the Cape is very
weather dependant, and we might have to adjust our basic plan according to the weather. We plan to
include as flying sites in and around Cape Town as possible. Then we go further a field to place such
as Porterville known for its strong thermals and good XC possibilities.

This site is for experienced pilots but can be flown by beginners in mild early morning conditions.

Wilderness

Wilderness should not be missed; it has around 27 sites for relaxed coastal soaring with a few
thermic sites thrown in.

We would suggest spending at least 3 - 5 days in Wilderness and the same amount of time around
Cape Town. If there is no flying (due to weather) we would explore some of Cape Towns most
notorious beauties and look in at one or two wine farms. If you would like to do something a little
more strenuous we could do some stunning walks or cycle rides. This would depend on the group.

- We have a Kombi with trailer (for our gliders) that will take up to 6 people per trip.
- You are responsible for the petrol, accommodation, and food.
- We will pre-arranged the accommodation and know all the local eating spots.
- We will provide cereal, coffee and Tea in the mornings, depending on the type of accommodation
we were at, at the time.

Flying in the summer months will happen early as the weather might get too strong over midday.
