Sir Lowry's Pass is a short drive of about 30 minutes from Cape Town on the N2 towards George, and is situated in the Overberg mountain range and is known as the window to Cape Town. It is flown during our off season when the winds are in a westerly direction. The advantage of flying here is that you step out of the car and onto the launch site, no walking involved. Flights from here are mostly very buoyant and we are able to fly cross country on a good day into the high mountains and back.
You can be assured that a good flight at this location will put a smile on your dial so wide you will relive the moment over and over. Our landing field is at the base of Sir Lowry's Pass and we are able to drive up and down between the landing and takeoff so we have no problem with recovery.
